Benadryl (Diphenhydramine)

Cat sitting continued...

Except for the nasty stench whenever I go upstairs, having the cat around hasn't been that bad. Except I haven't have a good night's sleep since. At first, it didn't matter because my back hurt and I kept waking up. But my back felt pretty good the last couple of days and still my sleep was broken. The cat advances on me while I'm sleeping. She tries to walk up to the pillows, which is strictly prohibited. My friend says she's trying to smother me. I tend to agree. Anyway, since she can't stay on the foot of the bed in her spot designated by a towel, she will be locked out of the bedroom tonight. I am convinced she some how got on my pillow and infected it.

At 4:30 this morning I woke up with my eyes, especially my right feeling raw and red. I was rubbing them like crazy. I got up, flushed my eyes with cool water, and took 50mg of benadryl and 500mg of tylenol and tried to sleep.

She has also ruined clothes and not just with her shedding. Last week I ordered the furminator brush from Amazon. They didn't ship it until yesterday!!! It was in stock. I am so annoyed. I've heard great thing about this brush and I want it! By the time it gets here, kitty will be going home.

The family was over yesterday for a casual cook out. As always, Cinder, the miniature Schnauzer arrived with them. She is very friendly and likes cats. The cat did not like her. I (stupidly) was holding kitty when Cinder arrived to calm and reassure her. Kitty clawed through one of my favorite tank tops and destroyed the right cup on my bra!! Bad kitty. She also growled at the dog. How is it that a cat can growl? Sure she looks harmless enough sleeping on the back of the couch right now, but that bra was Calvin Klein and my eyes never used to itch, redden and swell. Only two days left...
